Escape Life Koh Kood

We had such a peaceful stay at Escape Life Koh Kood, away from the crowds and close to beautiful nature and pristine beaches. The rooms were clean and comfortable, designed to fit in with the surroundings. Staff were always friendly and went out of their way to help us feel at ease. There were plenty of fresh local dishes, and the food was delicious. A lovely spot to unwind and reconnect with nature, highly recommended.

The setting is quite magical: they lend you canoes for free, and you can paddle to the sea and a beautiful beach about 10 minutes away. The little resort is charming and thoughtfully laid out, and the staff were friendly and helpful during our one night there. There’s a nice small restaurant by the creek behind it for drinks and breakfast. The bathroom needs a proper clean and some maintenance, though, and the street around the resort gets messy and could use attention. If the resort owners worked together to improve the area, it would make a real difference.

Such a clean, lovely place, and the staff were incredibly helpful and kind. They’re mindful of the environment, too. Guests get a bag and straw hats, a thoughtful touch. I’d recommend it, 10/10.

The staff were lovely, friendly, and helpful, and breakfast was decent. I liked the pretty restaurant facing the river and mangroves, plus the village setting gives you a feel for local life. There’s a minimart and clinic close by. The place is cute and well designed, and it’s one of the few green hotels I’ve come across in Koh Kood, with refillable water bottles and reminders to use amenities thoughtfully. It isn’t right on the beach, but a nice long stretch of sand is about 150 meters away. Watch out for sandflies.
