Kuba Bungalows

The host was lovely and offered us a welcome drink, and check in was easy. My boyfriend and I stayed two nights. The scooter cost 600 for less than 48 hours, plus we had to add 100 worth of petrol. That was more than anywhere else we’d rented one, and the brakes weren’t working properly. After our room was cleaned, we came back to find our things left outside on the balcony, which didn’t feel safe. It was also very noisy at night, with chickens, dogs, and drilling.

I always come here for coffee and cake. The cappuccino has a strong, flavorful taste, and the homemade chocolate cake is wonderful, sweet without being too much. The welcoming service makes it even nicer.

The food at Kuba is outstanding, some of the best we’ve ever eaten, and it’s all freshly made at home. We don’t usually eat where we’re staying, but the food and coffee here are just so good that Kuba is an exception. We wish we could stay much longer. We can’t speak highly enough of the place. The rooms are cleaned daily, it’s absolutely beautiful, and the owners are so friendly and kind.

Clean, very nice bungalows with good food and good value. The friendly British Thai couple who run them also have some nice ciders on the menu. There’s a good massage place next door. It takes about 20 minutes to walk to the beach, so as in other parts of the island, a scooter is very helpful.
