Be careful which room you choose. The cheapest option is a very dark room with no windows, and it's outside the hotel grounds. It feels kind of like a scam, which helps explain some of the bad reviews. We asked for an upgrade and got a good deal for us, and the superior room was bright, cosy and really nice. I definitely wouldn't book below superior if you don't want to be disappointed. The resort itself is wonderful, with beach access and lovely chairs by the beach and pool. The massage service was great too. Breakfast was sufficient, and the staff were friendly and very helpful.

The room let me down a bit for the price, which wasn't exactly cheap for Thailand. Mine was quite basic, with no windows, a hard bed and uncomfortable blankets. If you book a standard room, don't expect too much for the rate. The setting is stunning, on a peaceful bay on Ko Kut. The garden, pool and bungalows are lovely and well maintained. The massage was great, and the restaurant's food was tasty, including a simple but delicious breakfast.

We had everything we needed in our budget room, even though it had no windows. The main problem was that the humid air made it hard to dry our wet clothes. Service was kind and good, the restaurant had good breakfast and dinner, and the scooters they rented out were in good condition and easy to use.

The garden and surroundings are lovely, but the room and service spoiled our stay at Suanya Kohkood Resort and Spa. Our room was in terrible shape, with holes in the windows and insects and lizards getting inside. We couldn't sleep. Breakfast was cold, repetitive and very limited, and the photos on Booking.com don't reflect what we found. We asked at reception to change rooms, even offering to pay extra, but they sent us to Booking.com and didn't provide a solution. Very disappointing.
