Andawa Lanta Resort

Thanks for the lovely hospitality. It’s a small guesthouse run by a lovely family, with beautiful rooms and a well-kept garden and pool. The beach is about a 15-minute walk, past some tasty cafes, or an easy motorbike ride away.

The location worked really well for exploring the south end beaches and old town. There's a Family Mart just 100 meters away, and Rim Su Raw, about a kilometer down the road, had tasty food, generous portions, and good prices. We stayed six nights and had no complaints. The bungalows were spacious, clean, and new, and the grounds were full of well-kept trees, shrubs, and flowers. Bike rental on site was handy, and we appreciated the daily housekeeping. The family running it were kind and welcoming, always doing their best to make sure we enjoyed our stay. If you like walking, the beach is reachable on foot, as our neighbors did every day. Great value if beachfront isn't a must.

We liked it so much that after two nights my husband and I booked another two weeks. Andawa Lanta Resort had the relaxed, safe feel we wanted, and we'd happily return. The owners were warm and helpful, regularly checking that we were happy with the room. They also arranged scooter hire and our ferry to koh phi phi. Daily room service, bottled water, and coffee supplies were included; our room also had a hair dryer, kettle, a private patio, and air conditioning that worked well. It was nice to have the pool for lazy days when we weren't heading to the beach. Klong nin beach is about a ten-minute walk away. There are several places to eat on the way, including our favorite, Rasta chill restaurant, which isn't the same as their other location on the beach. A convenience shop along that route made it easy to pick up drinks and snacks. Walking the other way takes you to a fitness center and muay thai gym, so most things we needed were close by.

The staff really went out of their way for us. They even gave us fruit plates for free and acted as a cheaper last-minute taxi a few times. Everyone was so friendly and helpful that I'd give them another star if I could! The rooms were comfortable and very clean, with a good shower, hairdryer, vanity area, plenty of outlets, and chairs outside for sitting around. It's fairly central and quiet, though the beach is about a kilometer away. You can rent bikes there or book trips, and they're very hospitable.
