Chalaroste Lanta The Private Resort (SHA Extra Plus)

Finding this gem in koh lanta was such a relief. The studios are clean and well maintained, and the family running the place is lovely and helpful. There are lots of spots to hang out around the pool, plus a private, shaded rooftop shala. I loved staying here. It’s one of my favorite places in all of thailand!

May and her husband were the best part of my stay. She’ll help with whatever you need, from scooter rentals and booking tours or boats to giving recommendations. She treats guests like family, and I’ve never met anyone who works so hard and is so kind to everyone. The breakfast buffet was good and the beds were comfy. I’ll definitely come back next time I’m in Koh Lanta. I’ve been traveling around Thailand for 7 weeks, and this is probably the best place I’ve stayed. It’s wonderfully tranquil, with ocean views out front and jungle behind. You’re close to the beach and restaurants, but away from the busy street. Every room looks over the beautiful central pool and has a private rooftop deck.

When our airport ride was late, the resort manager checked in on us, made several calls on our behalf, and even offered to drive us himself, despite the trip being at least 2 hours. Our ride eventually arrived, but we really appreciated his help. He had gotten up super early, around 5:45am, for our checkout. The rest of the staff were very professional and extremely friendly. It’s one of the best places on Koh Lanta, and we’d stay again without hesitation.

There are 9 bungalows tucked around the pool, making for a lovely, intimate resort. Every bungalow has a rooftop terrace where you can relax and watch the sunset. The owners are lovely, share great ideas for things to do nearby, and can arrange transfers. It was a really relaxing stay, and I’d happily come back. 😁
