I tried three different room types here, and liked them all. The rooms were clean and just like the pictures, bright, spacious and colourful, though some furniture was a little dated, as in many places in Thailand. Bird, the guy who owns the hotel, was really helpful with anything I needed. The hotel is right beside the old town, with plenty of delicious restaurants over the sea, and beautiful mountain views all around. It was also one of the few places that doesn't raise prices during high season. I'd definitely recommend staying here. Thanks, Bird and Aun, for a great stay 🙏

The people at Tonmai made our stay even better, and this is one of the few places in Thailand I'd recommend for accommodation. Our bungalow was spacious and clean. They offered bike and laundry services and were really good at communicating, something we found hard to come by. We preferred staying in the old town for its peaceful feel and good range of restaurants.

Old Town is only about 100 m away, and this spot feels much quieter than the island's resort and tourist center. The owner is lovely, always helpful, and the service was consistently great. The rooms are larger than average. You'll need to rent a scooter to reach the beaches, but getting around that way is easy.

We spent a week here and loved every minute. Our suite was roomy and comfortable, with amazing ocean views. Bird, the owner, was really friendly and could always be reached on WhatsApp for help or advice. Koh Lanta Old Town is beautiful, and for us it's the best area to stay on the island. Highly recommend it.

The bathroom was the one drawback for us: it's a typical Thai setup, with no divider between the shower and toilet, so it stays humid. Everything else made for a very happy four-night stay. The apartment is over 50m2, apparently the largest room on the island, and was available at a very reasonable price. Big windows on different sides let in views while still giving privacy on the second floor; some look out to sea, and we could hear the water at night. Aun and Bird were attentive and helpful with requests, including motorbike rental, tours, and taxis. The hotel is near quiet, rather remote Lanta Old Town, which suited us. There's a 7/11 nearby and lots of restaurants and coffee places around.
