My partner booked two nights without looking at the recent reviews, and we regretted it. After a 12-hour journey we arrived to a closed reception. We called, and the owner sent someone over from another hotel to offer us an inferior room. They said there was an “AC problem” and we couldn’t stay in our room. I insisted on seeing it, and he took me around the side to an AC unit with an exposed fan, poked it, and said “problem.” But there were clearly people in that bungalow, with clothes drying and even a laptop on the balcony. When I asked about it, he tried to tell me it was friends staying there. Yeah, right. I pushed to see the schedule and check which room we were actually meant to have. It turned out to be a completely different room, and they must have put someone else in it. After we kept pressing, he gave us a key to a bungalow that was supposed to cost 400 baht more per night. He looked clearly stressed as the overbooking got more out of hand. Steer well clear.

It looks even better in person than it does in the pictures. The rooms are spacious and very clean, with a dresser table that works as a desk if you need to work, and the internet was very good for that. There are good restaurants nearby, and the place is close to the main road. It’s also quiet at night. We extended our stay here twice. The beach is literally 50m away, close enough to walk there in swimwear.

We were very happy with our two nights in the cozy bungalow, which had both AC and a fan. You can rent scooters at the property to explore the island. Many thanks to the owner for kindly helping me get back the clothes I’d forgotten in the room.

The service was super friendly, and Long Beach, the best beach in ko lanta, is just two minutes away. We stayed a long time and got a fantastic price. The room itself was very basic, with no view and set a little off to the side, but we loved it.

The location is great, and the staff are super nice. I also slept well on the very comfortable bed, and the shower had great water pressure.
