Fresh House

The woman who runs the place is adorable, and the pontoon is a lovely spot to watch the sunrise. The old town market is only a five-minute walk away. The rooms are cosy and spacious, and you can fall asleep to the sound of waves beneath the cabin. They’re cleaned daily. The mattress felt a little hard to me, and the shower pressure was very low, but what can you do? A great place to stay on the island.

It’s such a peaceful place. The big wooden room was very clean, and falling asleep to the sound of waves was always a pleasure.

The sea views are breathtaking, and the location is perfect, just a few metres from the Old Town. It’s a unique hotel that sticks in your memory. The building is old, though, so don’t expect it to be spotless.

The rooms are nice and the location is great, but I wouldn’t recommend the budget room without AC. It gets very hot at night, and the fan doesn’t reach through the mosquito net, so you’re left choosing between overheating and mosquito bites. The room is partly open to reception, which can get noisy. We wanted to switch to an AC room, but it cost almost twice as much, which didn’t feel like a good deal. The place itself is beautiful, but there are some things to improve. No one seemed to be at reception, and the person cleaning the room lost or threw away our earplugs. The included breakfast was pretty mediocre too. After trying it once, we went to a cafe around the corner for real coffee and good food.
