The pool was the one real positive, and the location wasn't bad for nearby amenities. The beach is about a five-minute walk away, though it's very rocky, so you have to go a bit farther if you want to swim without rocks. The bungalow was next to the sewers, with lots of pests and unpleasant smells, and being near a wetland meant there were tons of mosquitoes. The mosquito net had holes and had been patched with tape. We saw huge cockroaches beside the bed and some frogs, but worse were rats coming in at night. It also wasn't very clean when we arrived, especially the bathroom, which didn't seem to have been cleaned before our arrival and had mold that looked like it had been there a long time. When we told the manager rats were getting into our bungalow, he laughed at us and then offered a room that cost 500 baht more. We've stayed in lots of guesthouses and cheap bungalows in Thailand, and this was our worst experience.
