Lanta Local Hut

The owners were very kind and always ready to help. The bungalows were clean and comfortable, with towels, a shower, and comfortable beds. Breakfast was very nice, and the beach is very close. There’s a 7-11 nearby too. Everything was really satisfactory. I highly recommend staying here if you come to Koh Lanta!

The owner picked us up from the pier and was generally very nice. The location is handy, about 100 metres from the sea and close to a 7/11 Store, though there are so many rocks that swimming there isn’t really possible. For the price, the bamboo hut was okay for two nights. The bathroom wasn’t the cleanest, but bearable for that short stay. Since the walls aren’t dense, insects can get in easily; there was a mosquito net, though sometimes it had holes. If that doesn’t bother you, it’s an authentic stay in Ko Lanta.

The beach is nearby, and there are plenty of places to eat around here. We stayed in a small bamboo hut with its own toilet and shower. The owners and staff were kind, honest, and really helpful. They deliver what they promise. It was clean and affordable for this kind of place, though the price felt a little high during peak season. You need to be comfortable with nature getting in: our mosquito net had holes, we saw cockroaches, spiders and beetles, and even found a snake skin. Bring mosquito spray. There’s no hot water, air conditioning, or pool, so it’s a decent, authentic stay if you’re fine without those comforts.

Arun and his family were lovely. When my pickup was late, I got in touch with Arun and he sorted it out right away. He also sells all kinds of tickets for a very fair price and takes only a small commission. The huts are basic, just a mattress, mosquito net, fan, shower, and toilet. It’s exactly what it is, no more and no less. 10/10.
