Lanta Palace Beach Resort and Spa

This small hotel is part of what makes the place so lovely. It felt personal in the best way, without being intrusive, and the staff were incredibly kind and helpful. My partner and I love specialty coffee, and theirs was great, which isn’t always the case at hotels. Breakfast had lots of sweet and savory options, good quality, fresh fruit and smoothies. The restaurant felt super romantic and served very good Thai and Western food. The bungalows were spotless and spacious, with amazing beds and linens. We stayed in both an ocean-view and a garden-view bungalow, and each had a great view and plenty of privacy. The location is central on the island, with nice restaurants in walking distance, though I’d strongly advise renting a motorbike to explore the whole island. We watched beautiful sunsets every day from the private beach and pool. The adults-only setup was a major plus, keeping the whole week calm and relaxing. Such a magical place on a wonderful island, and honestly good value. I’d give it 12/10 if I could.

At Lanta Palace Resort, everything from the rooms and facilities to the service and atmosphere felt high quality. The staff and hosts were genuinely warm, attentive and professional, and always made us feel welcome and well looked after. Highly recommended, we’d gladly return.

The calm atmosphere and the lovely pool made it easy to relax, and the staff were warm and helpful everywhere we went, from reception to the restaurant. Our room was roomy and comfortable, too. We ate at the hotel most nights. The food was consistently good, and the beach view was beautiful. Two evenings also had fire shows and live music, which made dinner feel special. There was one rough moment early in our five-night stay: we found a very large cockroach in the room. Reception responded quickly and sprayed the area, but another appeared, so they moved us to a different room straight away. We had no further problems. It seemed like an unusual incident, and the staff did what they could to sort it out promptly. Despite that start, we had a fantastic stay and would happily return.

We wanted a special setting for Valentine's night, so we booked the restaurant. They found us a table and kindly sent photos of the options. The tables had been laid beautifully, and service was good, though a little slow. We shared the sushi platter, which came with warm rice. That was odd, and it didn't taste very good that way. My curry was tasty, but I’m pretty sure the chicken was cubed and not fresh. Every piece was the same size, and it didn't taste like breast or thigh.
