The owners and managers really made this place for me. They were willing to help with whatever I needed, and they let me bring my German Shepard. I've enjoyed it enough to come back several times. The area is peaceful, with a lovely community around it, and sits roughly halfway along the island, so getting around is pretty easy. Khlong Nin is only a few minutes away, but you can stay clear of the village bustle. The best beaches are about a 25-minute walk or a 5-minute motorbike ride.

It's a quiet, peaceful spot, with the sounds of nature around you. This new resort is set a little way into the jungle, about five minutes from Klong Nin beach.

The place seemed abandoned. The reception was untidy and deserted, and after waiting 20 minutes and making 4 phone calls, a man finally came and showed me a room. It looked barely used, but the bed was unmade and the room was dusty and dirty. The other rooms looked much the same. It was clear the hostel wasn't operating, and the surroundings looked very different in person from the photos on the booking site.
