Coco's Guesthouse

We spent four days here during our visit to Folgers island, and ended up coming back twice because Koh Lanta was completely empty when we went. It’s quiet, away from the island’s hustle and bustle, so it was easy to sleep and rest. The room was spacious and clean, fresh towels were provided, and the air conditioning and WiFi both worked great. The staff were really friendly and helped however they could. There’s free tea and coffee too. I’d recommend it to anyone on a budget who still wants somewhere clean and quiet.

At least the location was good, and it was quiet at night. The room itself was very basic. The door only shut if you slammed it so hard the whole place shook, and the air conditioning worked well, but the electric key holder came off the wall with sparks flying. The bathroom was dark, hot, and stinky from having no ventilation, especially with three people using it.

We were able to start a few hungover walks to the View Point right from the doorstep. The place itself was clean and tidy, on a quiet avenue but only a three-minute walk from PhiPhi’s busy area. Staff were really helpful with laundry and picking up and dropping off bags at the port.

I stayed here for my last night before leaving the island. It was a cosy guesthouse and good value, with a comfortable bed, great a/c, working showers, and a kind, friendly receptionist.
