HIP Seaview Resort at Phi Phi

The property is a little away from the busy center, which made it feel peaceful, and the views are beautiful. The food was tasty and well worth the typical resort prices. Staff were always smiling, very friendly, and genuinely helpful. They gave us a map with the quickest walking route into town, and a dedicated longboat takes hotel guests to and from the ferry. There’s also a luggage elevator, so we didn’t have to haul our suitcases by hand. The room could use better clothes storage. It had a hanging rail and hangers, but no shelves or dresser, so keeping our things organized was inconvenient.

The garden is lovely and cared for every day, and the location beside Long Beach was perfect for us. We think it’s the best beach on Phi Phi for swimming, with food and drink shops, massage places, and kayak rentals nearby. The hotel is reached on foot or by taxi boat. We recommend taking a taxi boat on arrival, since the walk can get tricky across the beach with luggage, even with just backpacks. Try the walk another day. There are some stairs, but they’re fine and take about five minutes. Breakfast had everything we needed, including unlimited croissants, toast, waffles, good coffee, fruit, and yogurt. There wasn’t a huge variety, and the view was the best part. The staff fixed our shower right away when it wasn’t working. The room was clean, comfortable, and spacious, but needed some maintenance, especially in the bathroom. It had good clothes storage, a working minibar, a modern smart TV with Netflix and HBO, and a nice balcony with a great view and comfortable sofa. The room is why I can’t rate the experience 10/10. I’d give it 8/10.

Getting here takes some planning because it’s a bit far from town and you need a boat, but the stay made it worth the effort. The place feels calm and restful, a welcome break from the busy town. Our room was clean and comfortable, and waking up to the sea view was amazing. We loved staying at HIP Seaview Resort and would happily return.

The beach below the resort was the best spot along the coast for snorkeling. It’s at the far end of Long Beach, so getting into the main town means a long walk unless you catch a longtail, but that adds to the island feel. The breakfast was the usual eggs, cereal, French toast, sausages, and so on. Dinner wasn’t included, but it was honestly some of the best food we had on the island. The stairs are worth climbing for the incredible view. We had a beautiful stay at HIP sea view.
