Phi Phi Jungle Hill Bungalow

The music from the main beach is pointed toward this part of the island, so the location isn’t ideal for noise. Still, the walls have decent sound insulation, and it wasn’t a big problem for us. Jungle Hill Bungalow was a great stay, and it’s near the viewpoint hike, which you really should do while you’re on Koh Phi Phi.

It’s the last resort up a large hill, surrounded by jungle, so there were plenty of bugs. Inside, though, it was very clean. I was happy with my stay, the front desk was friendly, the air conditioner was amazing, and the bathroom was nice and spacious.

The location made this a long hike up a hill, far from the island center. It’s not convenient, and even local stores couldn’t tell us where it was when we asked for directions. We booked online because the listing said AC and wifi. When we arrived, no one was at the front, so we had to search for help. Eventually we found the person in charge and got the room, but then we were told there was no wifi. My friend and I accepted that, since we’d saved most of what we needed on our phones for a short stay. We noticed a few thick lines of ants crawling up the wall as soon as we got to the room. We were tired and didn’t think much of it. The shower pressure was very low too. I know Thailand’s water pressure isn’t like the USA, but in two weeks there we’d stayed in several hostels and inns, and this was the worst condition. Then, while we were trying to rest, a guy came in, said we couldn’t use the AC, and tried to take the remote. We argued that the online description said AC was included. After going back and forth with a few workers and the manager, they wanted another $20usd for it. We were angry and cancelled the whole stay. We checked into a hostel down the hill, closer to the party spots, for only $12usd, and it had AC. What a waste of time and money with Phi Phi Jungle Bungalow. DONT GO TO THIS BUNGALOW.

A nice place for basic accommodation at a reasonable price, and good for backpackers. The family who own the bungalows work hard and are very pleasant to deal with. We had a very nice stay and would come back.
