Alena Dorm Room

The beds are a little hard, but you get what you pay for, and I felt safe and secure here. The owner is fun and generous, and everyone in Phi Phi seems to love her. It's clean and quiet while still being close to the parties. People sit on the porch drinking and having fun each night, but it doesn't go too late, so I could sleep. I like to party, so it suited me, and when I was really sick during my stay, it was also easy to rest and relax.

The owner was amazing and looked after all of us. She even bought us whiskey for pre-drinks. It's a fantastic place away from the beach, and the big form means you make lots of friends.

It's one huge room, and there were bed bugs. The door doesn't lock, so keep anything valuable in the lockers. Someone came right into the room and searched the pants I'd left on the floor for my wallet. Luckily, I only had about 80 baht.

It's a five-minute walk to the party area, but far enough from the beach that you can sleep without music blaring until 3am. The place is clean and fine if all you need is a dorm bunk and bathrooms for sleeping and showering. My bed was uncomfortable. Everything on Koh Phi Phi is expensive, but I thought this was overpriced for what you get. I paid the same per night in Krabi for a really nice private room.
