Lucky Guest House

We were shown both dorms and got to choose, so my friend and I could have bunks together. The rooms are basic but have what you need, including plugs, a personal light, privacy curtains, and a vanity area with extra plugs. It was central, affordable, and we felt safe. Free water and noodles were available, the shower was hot, and the bathroom was cleaned daily. The reggae bar noise didn’t bother us and stopped around 1am. The staff were incredibly kind. We came back very drunk and had broken a few things; I had a cut on my head and my friend was in a bad way. The next day they checked that we were okay and reminded us that things can be replaced, but we can’t. One woman also let us back in without any fuss when we lost our key, and gave us a new one. We had a lovely stay and would come back to Phi Phi.

The dorm is quiet and dark at night, with good beds and quiet AC, so I slept really well. It’s next to the Muay Thai bar, but I barely heard it, and after 1am it gets very quiet. The location is awesome. The owner is kind, and they’re doing work to improve the place, so it could get even better. There’s free water, hot water, coffee, hot chocolate, and instant noodles, which helps keep the trip cheap. The dorm has changed hands since the old reviews, so don’t let those put you off. I highly recommend it for a comfortable, affordable stay on koh Phi Phi 😁

I arrived late, and the friendly manager got out of bed to check me in, which was really kind. The manager carries a baseball bat to help keep guests safe, and I felt secure. I couldn’t lock the door from inside, though maybe I was too drunk to work it out. We enjoyed the music from the bar next door. Thanks for the hospitality, I’d come back. 10/10.

This is a simple, cozy hostel in a prime spot on Phi Phi, and for the price I loved my stay. The woman running it has only been in charge for a year, so keep that in mind when reading older reviews. She even replaced the room AC while I was there because she thought the old one was loud, though I hadn’t noticed it at night. She also set up a coffee station with free coffee, tea, and chocolate milk. There’s free water refills, hot showers, curtains on the beds, and a little lamp for each bed. The bed and linen were clean, I saw no bedbugs, and the bathrooms were clean too. Three bathrooms for 10 people in the dorm was plenty. The party music mentioned in reviews didn’t bother me. There’s a muay thai place and a reggae bar next door, but while I was there they closed by 1am at the latest. All good! 🙏
