The staff were nice, and the porters carrying our luggage up the many stairs to the room were a big help. The room itself, though, was very basic and not worth 3,700 baht. The AC was extremely loud, there were no hand towels or hand soap, and the double bed had only two pillows, with no cushions. The sliding door was in bad shape and tricky to lock when we went out. I didn’t sleep at all the first night. Music played loudly until 4am, drunk guests came back shouting outside the room, and the people above us stomped across their floor through the night. If you want to be near the party part of the island, that may suit you. Otherwise I’d stay away, especially with a family. I wouldn’t recommend this place and would look for better value elsewhere.

It’s a pretty average place. The reception entrance at the very front stinks a lot because it’s so close to the sewer.

The view from the window and balcony seating area is great, and the stay was beautiful, very neat, and had a spacious bathroom. Bond was very hospitable. It’s calm and away from the main area, but you have to climb a lot every time. The mosquitoes are extremely aggressive, so get repellent from one of the nearby stores.

The room was spacious and comfortable, with a good pillow, mattress, and blanket. The toilet was clean, though a bit run down and could use a fresh coat of paint. We were lucky to get a lower villa, since the higher ones seem better suited to younger people. There’s a coin-operated laundry behind reception, and it’s cheap and works fine.
