Viking Nature Resort

We booked two nights for a break from crowds and some good snorkeling after about three weeks backpacking, and weren't disappointed. Our room was upgraded because it was available, so we got a villa with a lovely view, though all the accommodation looked great. The beach is secluded but town and long beach are only a short walk away. The food was great, and cocktails were nice and cheaper than most places on the island. There was a fun fire show every night, and the rocks and reef by the beach were great for snorkeling. My friend and I had a wonderful stay at viking nature resort.

What stood out most was the attentive staff, the lovely rooms, the varied breakfast, and the forest feel throughout. Our questions were answered the same day after booking, and we got free pickup and transport to Phi Phi Ton Sainsbury's pier. On arrival there was a small welcome drink, followed by a quick check-in at the room with a 500 Bath refundable deposit. The staff were warm and took great care of our needs. Although it's a luxury resort, restaurant meals and minibar items are affordable, in line with Phi Phi Don Store prices. You can relax on either the front or back beaches. Definitely a must-stay when you're in Phi Phi.

Viking Beach is beautiful, and it's easy to pop up to the bar for beers or cocktails, spend the day reading on a bean bag, or get a massage. The food was very good, breakfast had lots of options, and the cleaners kept our large room immaculate. Our room overlooked the beach, making the stay especially peaceful. The staff were very friendly too. We spent three nights here and loved it. It felt like paradise, with a relaxing charm and jungle beach atmosphere. I strongly recommend the hotel if that's what you're after.

The hotel has a luxury jungle feel, and the staff welcomed us and carried our bags from the free long boat that brought us from the pier to the beach, then on to reception and our room. We stayed two nights, and the room was spacious. The private beach is lovely, but watch your step: I stood on a sea urchin, and staff rubbed lime juice on it straight away. The food was lovely too. After a heavy rainstorm, our balcony was left covered in leaves and debris. It would be useful to have a small brush in each room, especially since there are pots of water at the bottom to rinse your feet. A dirty balcony rather defeats that purpose. The shower room was huge enough for a family, but had only one shower head. The location worked well for us, about a 30-minute walk into town along the coastal path, or the same way to long beach.
