The building is nice and so are the people, but it’s not peaceful at all. A loud power plant has been built nearby, and after riding around the island on a motorcycle, this seemed like the noisiest spot. There’s a balcony, but I had no reason to sit out there, since I couldn’t have a conversation. I’m guessing the good reviews here were written before the power plant was installed.

The first time I stayed at SiChang Style Resort, they made me feel at home. It was clean, the food was great, and breakfast was included. They also have bicycles to borrow. When I came back to the island, I knew I wanted to stay there again, so I brought friends. We enjoyed the delicious spread of both Western and Thai breakfast options, especially the fresh-pressed orange juice. They were kind and welcoming again. No need to look anywhere else for a place on Koh SiChang.
