Sabai Corner Bungalows

I only visited the restaurant. The food was fresh and tasty, and service was quick. There were plenty of fresh juices, plus vegetarian and vegan dishes on the menu. A lovely spot to relax and look out over the bay.

The location was lovely, especially in the morning when there was a gentle breeze. I liked the bungalow style too, and the other bungalows felt like living among the trees in nature. I stayed one night in the highest bungalow, No.5, but it was close to the roadside and motorbike noise kept me from sleeping well. The welcome drink was nice, and the staff were friendly. I had the English breakfast at the restaurant, but it wasn’t especially authentic or tasty.

The terrace with hammocks was a great place to sit, though there were lots of mosquitoes, so bring spray. Food was good but overpriced. The banana and chocolate milkshake, a secret option, was out of this world. Of the three bungalows we stayed in on the island, this was the best. The people were super kind, the room was extremely cozy, and there was hot water, which can be rare here.

We came for dinner and loved the atmosphere, with wooden tables looking out at the ocean and a lovely jungle feel. The staff were great too. We ordered the Thai banquet, and the vegetables in it were the freshest and tastiest I can remember. The chicken massaman was great as well. Dishes arrived one at a time, perhaps because they had only one burner, but that didn’t bother us.
