Being close to the beach was a real plus, and when we heard what sounded like rodents under the house, the owner replied quickly and installed repellents to deal with it. We stayed in the middle house, though, and it had a very strange smell, possibly from the lacquered wood. There was mold in the bathroom, which could use a better clean, and we were given only two large towels. An extra hand towel would have helped. Also, the nearby mosque means a sunrise wake-up call every day. I wish I’d known these downsides before arriving, so I hope this helps future guests.

Klong Dao Beach is just 100 m away, with great dining options only 20 m from the houses. We had a wonderful six-week stay at Abrite House. The tiny houses are practical, comfortable, well equipped, and in a really handy spot. We’d recommend them for a short or longer stay. Contact King for details and prices. The owners were great to deal with, quick and professional in their replies. Thank you, Team Abrite! The door has a digital lock, which meant we didn’t have to worry about losing keys. Inside, it’s modern and minimal without feeling bare, and very clean. There’s a huge TV, free Wi-Fi, and a super king-sized bed. I feel lucky to have found this charming little place, with everything a modern traveler needs.

The tiny house had everything I needed for a great vacation, and Mr. King was the best host I could have asked for in Koh Lanta. Definitely recommend it, five stars.
