The big, comfortable rooms, granite statues, and hanging gardens all help give the place a European feel. The “Chateau” name fits, and they’ve carried that style through really well. It’s fun to see how Thailand takes on another country’s look. I’d definitely stay here again.

I decided not to stay because it was too expensive. Accommodation in Sangklaburi seems costly despite there not being many tourists, and I don’t understand why they don’t offer better rates. Across from the “Chateau,” they wanted 500 THB for a night in a small igloo tent, which seemed completely crazy to me.

The room was a little dusty, and my nose stung while I slept. The thick fog in the morning made things a bit better. It’s easy to reach and close to the wooden bridge.
