Bottle Beach 2 Bungalows

Khun Nok and Khun Gie started with a few wooden huts years ago, and you can feel the love they've put into everything since. Bottle Beach 2 resort is a beautiful place run by beautiful people, with a clean, paradise-like setting. The rooms are simple, wood on concrete, mostly with fans, but ours had a hammock facing an incredible sea view. The staff are all wonderful. You can hike to Bottle Beach, take a boat more easily, or arrive by one of the 4x4s. Lots of people visit during the day, while evenings are quiet with small groups. Sept 2025.

We booked two nights for the beach location, but changed our plans because we couldn't get any information about how to reach the resort. Starting two days before arrival, I tried contacting them in every way, including through Agoda, and got no response. The taxi boat to Bottle beach was suspended due to bad weather, so we needed the 4x4 taxi mentioned in the reservation. I spent a lot of time looking for alternatives without success. Recent Google reviews were also extremely negative. On the day we were due to arrive, a message finally came at 10:30 saying a taxi from the pier was available for 300 Baht per person. There was heavy rain and flooding everywhere, so I doubt we could have made it there anyway. To me, this seemed like a fraud. If a resort can't be reached nowadays, what kind of service could we expect? We asked to cancel with a refund and again got no information. Four days later, Agoda told us the resort had rejected the claim and we had to pay in full. I'm also wondering what Agoda's role is here. They offer accommodations in very bad shape and act in a very doubtful way.

The location is great, but the road is too rough for most motorcycles. My bike ran out of power and flipped backwards on my first try to climb back up! I'm staying somewhere else now. I was here 12 years ago and had thought about returning. But access means paying their taxi driver 100thb per person each trip, and he doesn't interact unless you're paying. I'm surprised there aren't clear warning signs, since we kept seeing people about to try the downhill ride. Beware, the incline is over 35%.

The people are friendly and the seaside location is nice, but I can't recommend staying here. Getting there takes a lot of effort, and there was water everywhere. The rooms weren't clean, with insects all over and beds hard as concrete. I slept terribly. The door wouldn't even lock properly from the inside, and there was no hot water.
