Coconut Beach Bungalows

We often order Thai food from Coconut Beach, and it’s always fresh and really tasty. The cocktails are great too. With the clean beach, lovely sunsets, and a massage spot right there, it’s an easy place to spend an afternoon and evening. The staff are humble and kind. We like to end the week here or start a new one in this peaceful setting. It feels like a little piece of heaven, and it’s beautiful for photos as well.

I’d planned to explore the island, but once I arrived at coconut beach bungalows, I ended up spending every day there. It’s such a quiet place: swim, have coffee and a yogurt bowl on the deck, get a massage from the hotel’s lovely massage team, then relax on the private beach. The restaurant food was amazing, and the staff were so friendly. The rooms and property were kept meticulously clean and tidy. This is one of the best beach hotel experiences I’ve had in a long time. Big thanks to the kitchen and the lovely staff for making me feel at home. I’d recommend staying here if you get the chance. Truly a gem.

After ten years of coming here, it still makes me happy every time. I’m glad to see the improvements, and just as glad the same Thai family is still running it. The beach is still gorgeous and has kept its natural beauty, unlike many others on the island. Thanks to the staff and everyone working so hard all the time to make this place special. I know that can’t be easy, especially when the full moon kids are in town.

We came back for a second visit because the first one had gone well. This time, though, we had a very uncomfortable experience. We ordered a smoothie we didn’t like and calmly asked if it could be changed. Our request was ignored at first. When we asked again, still politely, the woman in charge came outside and shouted at my partner in front of other customers. It was embarrassing and completely unnecessary. I later apologized myself on WhatsApp to calm things down, but nobody apologized for the shouting or the way we were treated. Then, after my partner posted an honest review, the place messaged me privately on WhatsApp and hinted that someone had gone to jail because of a bad review. Since reservations are all handled through WhatsApp, they had my personal number. Customers should be able to leave honest feedback without being contacted or threatened. This was a serious crossing of boundaries, and especially disappointing after our good first visit. Please be careful when choosing this place.
