Mr.Black Resort

Some of the rooms have a sea view, and even though the resort sits in the party area, it’s really quiet. We found the rooms simple but clean, with a very comfortable bed and nice pillows. It was much better than we expected.

Please don’t support this place. We booked Mr black for two nights over the New Year’s full moon party, but my partner developed a serious leg infection. The hospital told us to get back to the mainland immediately. We explained this to the staff and had to leave the next morning, on New Year’s Eve. Agoda declined to refund the two unused nights, and the hotel still refused after we sent photos and medical reports. We had spent 30 000 baht on medical bills and were told my partner could have died if we hadn’t gone back to the mainland that day. After all the stress and trauma, I’ve never been treated this way by a hotel. It felt like all they cared about was our money. Calling this place unethical and without compassion is how I feel about what happened. It’s disgusting, and I don’t think this “hotel” should be operating. Please take your money elsewhere.

The rooms were dirty, with sand and dead insects on the floor that looked like they’d come right off if anyone had tried to clean. They’re also very old, and reception is inside a mini-market. The shower pressure was extremely low. The AC and hot water kept cutting out, so we had to reset a switch in the electricity closet. I’d never stay here again.

The Google location was wrong, so the place was hard to find. Then we found a dirty room with a broken AC that dropped bits of dirt onto the bed. They wouldn’t move us to another room, so we all had to sleep in the same bed. Staff also made us pay for a towel, saying it was dirty. Everything went badly, and it would have been better to stay on the beach. Don’t come here, they rip you off at every turn. Don’t waste your money on this place.
