My Way Bungalows

Nice beach location, cold beer, and they were happy to refill my water bottle. The veggie pad Thai, though, was really disappointing, with no peanuts, vegetables, or tasty condiments. I’d go for a drink and eat somewhere else.

My best nights here were spent hanging out in the bar, meeting travellers from all over and listening to the legendary "50 Bhat!". The two brothers sing beautifully and are brilliant on guitar. I also loved relaxing in the hammock on my bungalow porch, even in the rain, since the sturdy construction kept me dry. For dinner, I’d sit at a candlelit table on the beach and watch those fantastic sunsets. Ginger chicken was my favourite, and the English breakfast always left me full. The whole place has an idyllic, lively feel, with a restaurant, bar, and bungalows at affordable prices. The staff are friendly and helpful, and there’s a real family atmosphere that makes you feel part of the community. The manager helped me with whatever I needed and suggested things to do around the island. You can even sit in the shallow water for a few hours and let your mind and body unwind. You can feel how much love has gone into MyWay over the years. I wish everyone there the best.

The wooden bungalows are lovely, and the plants around most of their terraces give you a nice sense of privacy. The setting is romantic, with a beautiful beach and plenty of amenities, yet it stays peaceful. One small drawback: the site's watchdog sometimes barks in the middle of the night. It only happened now and then, so it didn’t really bother us, but others might mind.

You can stay right on the beach here and have a meal with your feet in the sand. The staff and management are friendly, and the family restaurant is great.
