The room smell was the one thing we struggled with at Nap Inn. It was a strong floral scent, maybe from air freshener or cleaning products, and hard to tolerate on the first day. We opened the balcony door to air it out. By day two it had faded a lot, though we could still smell it. The rest of the stay went well. We had a bright, spacious corner room with clean linens, TV, mini fridge, kettle, safe, and a balcony facing a back alley. They left free snacks like broad beans, chips, and cup noodles. Cleaning is every other day, but over our three nights we didn’t bother. The location was perfect for the Full Moon Party, with the entrance right in front. Guests get free Full Moon Party wristbands at reception, so we didn’t have to pay the 200 baht fee. We chose Nap Inn partly because it was a budget-friendly place with a gym. The fourth-floor gym had free weights, a bench, treadmill, universal gym, and bikes, and we were very pleased with the equipment when we used it twice. There’s also a sauna and hot tub, though we didn’t try them, plus tables and seats where guests can hang out together. It may be too loud for some people, but it was fine for us. The music died down at midnight. We had a good stay and would highly recommend Nap Inn.

We had a really good stay here for the Full Moon Party. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and you’re close to Haad Rin beach with shops and places to eat nearby. Reception stayed open 24 hours, so getting our key was no trouble. The staff were friendly, answered our questions, helped with requests, and shared useful ideas for what to do. Great location, and I’d definitely recommend it.

You’re only 200 metres from the beach, and for location this is the best hotel to stay at in Koh Phangan. The rooms are a little old but spacious, looking out over Haad Rin walking street. It felt a bit expensive, though I booked during the Full Moon Party, when prices everywhere shoot way up.

The breakfast room smelled awful, and the food tasted oily. The beds were very firm and had plastic covers. The rooftop extras they promised weren’t working: there was no gym, sauna, or bar, just roofing materials and sheets of glass left on the floor. Even on the coolest setting, the aircon heated the room.

The location is excellent, between Haad Rin pier and the beach, and it somehow stays fairly quiet despite being right at the edge of all the action. The rooms are nice, though the shower in ours was a bit old and should be replaced. The rooftop hot tub spa only gets turned on when needed, which seemed like a hassle, and the rooftop bar closes at 9pm.
