I had a great time here and don’t really get the few really bad ratings. The bungalow is close enough to Haad Rin Beach to be convenient, but not right on top of it. Mike was gracious and polite, and his English was pretty good. He even taught me a new Thai phrase each day 🤗 I stayed eight days and ate at the restaurant for more than half my meals. Everything I ordered was delicious, thanks to a top-notch cook. It was lovely to step out of my bungalow, grab a good coffee, and sit just 2 meters from the water 🥰 The restaurant’s sunset views were another highlight. Thanks so much, Mike. I’ll see you again next year 🙏

I’ve been to Phangan seven times, and this is my favorite place for the location. It’s peaceful, quiet, and has everything you need for a relaxed island holiday. The sunsets here are beautiful, too. Mr. Mike and his wife are the nicest people I’ve met on Phangan. Mike’s a great host, and mom is a wonderful cook. If you’re after ultra luxury, book a 5 star hotel. This place gives you what you pay for, and I don’t understand the negative reviews. For price and quality, One more night beach is the best place to book in Ban Tai Koh Phangan. Love you, Mike & mom. I’ve stayed in more than 500 hostels and hotels over the last 10 years, and the person working the front desk at One More Night had the worst attitude I’ve ever encountered. I don’t normally leave reviews, but this was bad enough that I want to warn others. We didn’t feel like guests. It felt like he was doing us a favor by taking our money for a room. Judging by other reviews, we’re not the only ones who’ve had this experience. There are so many hostels and hotels on the island run by genuinely lovely people, so I’d suggest staying at one of those instead.

I felt uncomfortable for my whole stay and wouldn’t recommend this hotel. The food was poor, and I got food poisoning from it. From the moment I arrived, the owner was unfriendly and unsympathetic, and came across as aggressive and unwelcoming. It made for a terrible start and a terrible experience. I regret choosing this place and would strongly advise people to avoid it. I hope others don’t have to go through the same thing.

The garden bungalows are extremely basic, though for the price they’re okay compared with other places on Phangan. They weren’t very clean, and our sheets had lots of stains. I was willing to overlook that given the cost, but the owner was rude, impatient, and impolite from the start. We never felt welcome, and every time we ran into him, that feeling got stronger. There was no customer care to speak of. We even had to argue to get the sheets changed right after checking in, despite the stains being visible in the pictures. It took all the good feeling out of our holiday, and I wouldn’t recommend staying here.
