Phangan Akuna

I’m really glad I picked this place for my Phangan vacation. I spent three wonderful weeks in one of the cozy houses in this quiet, very green complex. I could listen to nature and still reach shops, cafes and the beach with just a few minutes’ walk. Rainnie was incredible, friendly and helpful, and took care of all my requests. I’m very happy with my stay and will definitely come back.

The staff made this place for me. Rainny was incredible, always smiling and in a great mood, and I’ve never had service like that before. They helped me with everything I needed. The location is the best on the island, close to everything, and there’s a pool, gym and all the essentials. Highly recommend. Thank you all so much!

We first landed at akuna by chance and loved the jungle feel and atmosphere, so after a week in Koh tao we returned to Koh pangan and came straight back. The team is super friendly and helpful, the pool is great, the little gym is cute, and the rooms are comfortable. It’s about a ten-minute walk to the road with all the shops. We did that walk a lot and it was fine, though you can rent a motorbike at reception to get around easily. There’s no restaurant at the hotel, but Holmes plate is only a two-minute walk away. The hot water cycles between warm and cool. It didn’t bother us, but keep it in mind if that matters to you. Totally worth a visit, and I know I’ll be back. Thanks for a memorable stay.

The reception staff were lovely, always cheerful, friendly and helpful. I also liked that free bikes were available, which suited what I needed. My room was spacious, clean and modern, with a large veranda, and the spot is quiet but only a walk from shops and restaurants. The pool decking needs some maintenance, though, as it’s lifting and could give you splinters.
