Phatcharee Resort

The room was clean and very welcoming, and the staff were really helpful. The Wi-Fi connection was poor, and the shower temperature kept changing between hot and cold. The scooter rental next to the resort was very good, run by a lovely couple.

The garden around the bungalows is well cared for, with no fallen leaves lying about, and the small pool is maintained nicely. Staff greet you with a smile each time. Service comes every other day, but you can ask reception for it or for toiletries whenever you need. The beach is about five minutes away. The bungalows are fairly small, but there’s enough space for two or three people. Outside, the surroundings are typical Thai island scenery, without many flashy lights and not particularly representative. The price is affordable.

I stayed at this resort a couple of years ago and really liked it. I can’t remember the owner’s name, but he was very friendly. I highly recommend the place.

The staff were a real highlight, kind and helpful throughout our stay, good with kids, and able to speak English well. The restaurant food was nice, and they served it by the pool or in the room. The pool was great, and my son really enjoyed it. Many hotels on Phangan are old and rundown, but Phatcharee Resort is good value for Koh Phangan, with comfortable, modern, very clean rooms. I’d definitely recommend it, and we’ll stay again on our next visit.
