The Beach Bungalow

The location is good, but the bungalow was awful. I stayed for two weeks and they never cleaned it once. I had to leave for an hour because they said they needed to clean, but when I returned, nothing had been cleaned; they had only worked on the air condition. The bungalow was tiny, with nowhere to put anything and no table at all. I also had two awful towels, old and rough, and one smelled like chemicals. They were so bad I only used them to sit on. When both went missing, I had to pay 1000 baht. I told the woman I could buy 10 better towels for that price, and she got angry. I did like the stay at first, but in the end I felt they were cheating me because the location was good while the service and everything else were very bad. Way too expensive for so little service.

Before I even arrived, I called to ask two simple things: whether a room was available and what size it was. The woman on the phone shouted that she didn't care what size I wanted, and that I should come if I wanted the room, otherwise not. I was shocked by the response. I wonder how they treat people after they've paid. I'm sure I'll never stay at this hotel.

The hosts were super, super nice and helpful with everything, unlike some others on the island. The room was spacious, big, and very clean, and the AC was amazing. The location is obviously the best, right on the beach and next to all the main cafes in srithanu.

We let them know in advance that we wanted to check out a day early, but they didn't refund anything. That hasn't happened to us anywhere else in Thailand. The prices are also quite high for the service, and there are better places to stay in the Srithanu area.
