Tibe & Tribe Phangan Hostel

The service was nice, and since this hostel is new, everything was very clean. Still, it felt like they’d taken a random building and tried to squeeze a hostel into it. I slept in what was basically a corridor, with a curtain instead of a door between me and the hall. I could hear everything in the common area, so I couldn’t sleep. The only bathroom on the floor was in another room, and going in and out disturbed people who were sleeping. My other option was walking down two flights of stairs. Really uncomfortable.

Good people, great beds, and an easy five stars from me. It’s exceptionally clean and well maintained, with a comfortable, welcoming feel of its own. There was a 😺 one day too.

I planned to stay a few nights and ended up here for over a week. The design is so nice, and there’s a comfortable bed, a workspace, and the most comfortable couch I’ve ever sat on, with a 65” TV. Super clean too. Best hostel ever. Aykut, the owner, made the place feel really welcoming. He was friendly and helpful, sorted out a scooter for me, and shared good places to eat. It felt like home, and I’ll stay here again when I’m back in Koh Phangan.

I met so many great people here, and the warm, welcoming atmosphere made this one of my best hostel stays. The staff were really friendly and always happy to help. I’d love to come back!
