Yangyai Garden Hotel

A few kilometers from the bustle of Koh Phangan's center, Yangyai is still close to food, 7/11's, and the other things you need. The place is clean and well run, and we were especially impressed by how well cared for the pool was. We'd stay here again if we return to the island. The owner, Mr. Ping, deserves a special mention. He lent us a scooter on our first evening, saving us an extra rental night, and took us to the pier early on departure day. His English is very good. Thanks!

Now I understand why this place is rated so highly. The room felt new, fresh, modern, and clean, with a spacious balcony looking out over the garden. It had everything we needed, including a fridge, microwave, toaster, safe, glasses, plates, and drinking water. Housekeeping came when we asked. The bathroom was roomy and stocked with plenty of paper, soap, and shampoo. The host everyone talks about really did raise the bar. We've never had hospitality like it. He recommended restaurants, beaches, and places to visit, gave us a lift to the ferry port and drove us to the Full Moon Party. He even spent a few evenings with us and brought snacks. There was also a shared area where we could meet other guests. A wonderful stay, highly recommended!

What sets this place apart is the service. Mr. Ping is friendly, helpful, and available whenever something comes up. He offers taxi rides and rents bikes on site, which made things easier, and even played chess with guests in the evenings. I'll definitely come back. It's in a quiet spot while still feeling central. The rooms and pool are lovely, well maintained, and spotless.

The rooms were great, everything was very clean, and the location was excellent. But Mr. Ping made the stay. He's incredibly helpful, friendly, and accommodating, and picked us up from the pier for free, which you can't take for granted. This was the best place I could have imagined on Koh Phangan, and I'd go back anytime.
