Out of my six weeks in Thailand, this was the best setting I stayed in: quiet, calm, and peaceful, but close to what you need. The garden is beautiful, the pool is a nice extra, and the rooms were comfortable. Oddly enough, the curtains and sheets felt luxurious. Mr. Ping, the owner and manager, went out of his way to make us comfortable. The stay was easy from start to finish, and we were well looked after. There's a kitchen with tea, coffee, a refrigerator, and microwave, plus dishes and cutlery if you want to bring in food or fruit. The hotel is close to the Full Moon Party at Haad Rin Beach, and Mr. Ping can help arrange a bike rental, either from him or elsewhere, whichever you prefer. He'll happily keep you company and tell stories if you're chatty, and gives you space if you'd rather be quiet. At check-in, he had great restaurant recommendations, from budget places to date-night options. He'd clearly researched them carefully to make things easy for guests. Highly recommend!

The pool was my favorite in all of Thailand. The water was clear and refreshing, with no salty taste or eye sting. Our room was clean and really comfortable, and Mr. Ping had thought of everything, even a microwave, egg boiler and extension cord. There are lodges and hotel rooms, though some areas were under construction during our stay; it was due to be finished by the end of the month and didn’t bother us. The location worked perfectly for parties, with plenty of halal food and a 7/11 nearby. Mr. Ping was so helpful: he drove us to the ferry and gave us lifts to lunch, dinner and parties, then picked us up afterward as a courtesy. We had lovely conversations and he made sure we were comfortable. When he got busy near the end, his mother kindly took us back to the ferry station. This was the best hotel stay I had in Thailand. Anyone coming to Koh Phangan should stay here, you won’t regret it.

The friendly cats were such a treat, and Mr. Ping drove us to the ferry pier when it was time to leave. Our room was clean and comfortable, with a nice balcony. There’s also a shared water cooler, which saved us from having to keep buying water. We loved staying here and would happily recommend it.

Traveling alone, I was lucky to have a room to myself at the hostel, and Mr. Ping introduced me to some other guests so I’d have people to enjoy the Full Moon Party with. He drove a few of us there and brought me to my ferry the next morning, too. He shares his WhatsApp number, replies quickly, and even sends Google Maps lists of places to visit. I rented a bike from him for 250 baht a day. He reminded me to be extra careful with it, and I was. The rooms were very clean, and the pool looked lovely, though I didn’t get time to use it. I can see why people leave such good reviews. Mr. Ping is incredibly kind and helpful, with a lively, almost movie-like personality. His energy surprised me at first, but soon felt endearing. I really appreciated the extra effort he made to help me enjoy my stay.

Mr Ping’s recommendations were really helpful, and we had a great time. The rooms were clean and the location was quiet. He also arranged a taxi to take us to the ferry when we left. We had a wonderful stay with my girlfriend and would recommend it.
