The suite I paid for seemed old and dirty, and the freshly made room had a big stain on the pillow. I was first offered a room instead. People were drinking at 2pm with music blaring. When I told the owner I wanted a quiet holiday, she asked, “What do you want me to do? Ask them to stop drinking?” She said I could cancel and she'd refund me. Three days later she still won't answer Booking.com or my messages, and there's no refund. I've stayed in over 10 places in Thailand in the last month and never cancelled one, but I refused to stay here. It felt like a hostel despite paying for a hotel, and promising a refund then not paying it was dishonest.

We arrived at 9:30 am, well before the 2:00 pm check-in, and the staff kindly kept our luggage while we went to explore. The mom and daughter team were especially helpful and kind, always willing to go the extra mile. Our sheets and covers were clean, and the room came with a kettle, hairdryer, and free WiFi. For two people, they provided two packs each of instant coffee, tea bags, and sugar. There's a 7/11 nearby. We hadn't expected the 500 baht deposit they asked for at check-in.

Good value for the price and location if you want to stay close to the beach. The rooms are small and barely insulated, and there's a 500 bht deposit.

Fine for sleeping and showering. For anything else, I'd pick somewhere else.
