The grounds are very carefully maintained, with bungalows spread out across the property. Hammocks sit near the water, and most of the beach has good shade. I spent five peaceful nights at this quiet hotel, which has a private beach. The restaurant food was very good, and the staff were friendly and helpful. It was a very good experience, and I'd recommend the hotel and stay again.

The southern tip has lovely sunrises and sunsets, just a few minutes' walk away. It's a very quiet, natural bay, and the clean bungalows are comfortable. The breakfast buffet is rich and varied. The restaurant closes at 8 in the evening, and there isn't another restaurant. Service staff were friendly, though some were disorganized. A public pickup bus goes to the other beaches hourly during the day, until 5 p.m.

The rooms were large and the setting beautiful. I found myself sitting and gazing into the distance, listening to the waves break on the shore. The stresses I brought along seemed to fade, replaced by a deep sense of calm. The world is beautiful, and it takes a certain kind of person to slow down enough to appreciate it. I hope you can be that person. This resort can help you find the inner peace people want. This is a relaxing, remote paradise, and the remoteness is one of its best features. You do need a scooter, but it's the best way to see the island wherever you stay. The food was excellent and affordable compared with other places on Koh Samet. Don't let the negative comments put you off. Someone complained that most dishes are Thai, but that's great, I want Thai food in Thailand, and you should too.

Update 2024: I recently came back, and this time things weren't right. My room smelled damp, like wet carpet, and had a leftover bottle of water in the fridge. My friend didn't get water in their fridge. Food took a very long time. Maybe there were fewer staff, but waiting 1.5 hours for fire chicken is still a lot, and the taste seemed to match the price. The staff seemed confused and busy. They cleared only the glasses and two dishes from a previous guest's table, then went off to do something else while many plates were still there. The view and nature at this resort are still the best. If those problems don't bother you, give it a try. There used to be a lot of nice things to say. The beach was very clean and private, the water was clear enough to look drinkable, and there was a resort zone for scuba diving. If you asked for a dining set, you'd get lots of seafood, tom yum, papaya salad, BBQ, and other things depending on what you requested. The service had improved a lot. I would definitely come back. You don't want to miss this place!
