Amarina Green Hotel

The room and bathroom were clean, and the room itself was big. It’s a nice area, on a quiet street, with the beach and Lamai night market within walking distance. The staff aren’t good at English, but communication works.

The front desk lady and cleaning staff were nice, and it stayed fairly quiet outside at night, even though the walls let you hear everything. The room was big and clean. I found the mattress hard, which was fine for me, but the pillow was too high. I didn’t like that the AC switched itself off around 3-4am and had to be restarted. Seeing hotel laundry hanging over the railing also looked cheap.

For the money, this is a decent hotel. The rooms are large and have balconies, so there’s space to move around. There’s a pleasant garden at the front and a nice plunge pool. The main street, restaurants, bars, and beach are about a five-minute walk away.

We were here for four nights, and the location was great. The rooms were comfortable, spacious, and very clean, and we loved the pool. Reception was often unattended, so we had to look for a staff member, though someone was always nearby. My partner and I would happily recommend this place if you’re in Koh Samui.
