Ammatara Pura Pool Villas

I’ve stayed here twice now, this time for 12 days, and wish I could have stayed longer. It’s a beautiful hotel, with gorgeous architecture and amazing villas. A Sea View villa gives you lovely views and a lot of privacy. The place feels like a calm oasis in a busy city, but it’s an easy walk to town, bars and restaurants. The food at the hotel foo right on the beach is excellent too. The staff give the best service I’ve experienced anywhere, attentive without getting in your way. Stephen the manager is a delight, and Anastasia the food and beverage manager is an absolute star. Stay here. Thank me later 😂👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

Our ocean-view pool villa was huge, private and luxurious, and the warm private pool was great for a dip. The main resort pool was cooler, a nice break from the heat. The resort was quiet and serene, just right for a peaceful getaway. Ammatara Pura was even more beautiful in person than in the pictures and completely surpassed our expectations. My fiancée and I loved how thoughtful and welcoming the service was. The resort has private beach access and stunning views, which made relaxing there feel even more special. Breakfast and dinner were both outstanding, and well worth having at the resort. We’d absolutely return and recommend it to anyone after a beautiful, peaceful luxury stay.

The team here makes every visit feel special. Everyone is warm, caring and professional, and Mr. Dan is a real standout. He seems to know what guests need before they say it, and is always smiling and attentive. The resort is spotless and well maintained, with a quiet boutique feel and only a limited number of villas. We’ve been coming to Koh Samui for years, and Ammatara Pura still feels magical each time. Its traditional Thai architecture and all the lovely details make it feel like a palace in a tropical film. The villas and rooms are spacious and beautifully designed, some with private pools. The beds are very comfortable, and the whole place feels elegant and relaxing. The location right on Lamai Beach is hard to beat. The beach is quiet and clean, with soft sand, turquoise water and those Koh Samui sunsets. We love taking sunrise walks there too. The pool is crystal clear, peaceful and so photogenic it feels like Instagram heaven, no filter needed. Lamai restaurants, beach bars and markets are also within walking distance, a good mix of privacy and convenience. Food and drinks are another highlight: fresh breakfasts, fantastic cocktails, great Thai food and chilled natural coconuts that are dangerously addictive in the heat. My wife Zora especially loved the Mango Sticky Rice. The presentation alone deserves a Michelin star for happiness. It’s more personal and exclusive than many big 5-star chain hotels, and the whole place gives you that feeling of living like Thai royalty. We’re still here, but I’m already thinking about our next visit. My family is having such a good time in one of the pool villas, and the service, food and staff attitude have all been outstanding. The grounds are beautiful and very well looked after. A special thank you to receptionist Hein. The professionalism and attention were top level. This hotel really deserves its high ratings.
