The bungalows are basic, which is why I’d give the rooms four stars, but for the price, location, and service, it’s a jackpot. The beach is beautiful and secluded, almost empty, and there’s a restaurant serving local food just two minutes away. The owner is a great guy, very polite and helpful, and you can rent a motorbike from him. We stayed a month at Baan Wasana, then our friends spent a week there. We loved every minute: it’s a very different side of Samui from the crowds and chaos on the east side, with a local feel and amazing sunsets. Great value for money, 5/5. We’ll come back when we visit Samui again.

The setting is pretty and peaceful, close to the beach, though the area feels rather dead. The host was nice and helpful, but the rooms were the problem. They might be okay for a two-star room, but they weren’t very hygienic: much of the furniture, including the bed, was stained and dirty. The bathroom was in poor condition and had only the bare minimum.

A quiet, beautiful spot for enjoying Thailand’s nature, and I’d absolutely recommend it if that’s what you’re after. It’s nicely secluded without many other people, with a lovely beach and bungalows in pretty good shape, though they aren’t luxuriously equipped. The owner and staff were very friendly, and cheap scooter rental is available. The nearest grocery store is about a 10-minute walk. Big thanks to the owner and staff!

We originally booked five days at Baan Wasana, then decided to stay for a whole month. It’s peaceful and right on the beach, and the owner was always friendly and helpful. Thanks for making the trip memorable. We’ll definitely come back 🙂

The bungalow had plenty of space and everything we needed, and there are lots of good Thai eateries within walking distance. Baan Wasana is such a peaceful, lovely place, and the owner was friendly and helpful. We had a perfect stay, highly recommend it, and hope to return soon!
