Ban Mok Talay - Beach Front Villa

We loved how peaceful and comfortable it felt to have our own little beach house. The big porch is right by the water, with gorgeous views of Big Buddha, Koh Phangan and Koh Tao in the distance, plus lovely sunrises and sunsets. You can walk down from the breezy veranda and stroll along the beach. Ban Mok Talay Beachfront Villa is on Bangrak Beach, and the one-bedroom villa is huge, with vaulted ceilings. It feels wonderfully private beside the waterfront, but it’s an easy walk to local restaurants, Lotus and 7-11 for quick shopping. The airport and the busier, more touristy beaches are a short drive away. Big Buddha is about a 2km walk. We’re so relaxed here that we don’t want to leave!

The staff member was really nice throughout our stay and made sure we had what we needed, which I appreciated. We enjoyed being there, but I don’t think the place was quite worth the price. I’m sure there are better options in the area for the same money.

A great escape from city life. The beach was nearly empty when we were there in Nov/Dec 2022, and it’s only a few steps away. The owner was friendly and honest.

It felt secluded, with just three villas in the development, and the villa itself was modern and clean. The high ceilings and glass sliding doors open onto a patio with seating and lounge chairs. We could see the beach, which was less than a two-minute walk away. Shops and restaurants are conveniently located outside the main entrance, and the airport is only a 10-minute drive. The owner was warm and friendly, and clearly takes pride in his work. We spent our last night in Samui here, and I only wish we’d had more time. We’ll definitely stay again on our next visit.
