I could see Koh Phangan from my room, which I only just realized. It’s a beachfront destination spa that feels like home, with a nice breeze. Just right for a vacation and some time to retreat.

A few days here let me live like a star. The traditional Thai Ayutthaya wooden house has been redesigned with lots of life and feels luxurious, while still being designed to offer a 5-star lifestyle without breaking the bank. The ocean views are open and uninterrupted. The Thai Pavilion, with its outdoor boutiques, gives you another place to relax and watch the sun set over the ocean. Big Buddha Beach House has clearly thought through the design, and the experience is one that stays with you. @Ban Sabai Big Buddha Samui

The staff were kind and pleasant. When my wife got sunburned, they brought her fresh aloe vera. They were flexible about our afternoon flight too, and let us stay a little longer without any problem.

There weren’t many guests, and the place had lots of greenery. The rooms were decorated in an ethnic style, and the staff were friendly, though their English was poor.
