Rockstar Beach Apartments

We booked a room on Booking and only realised after paying that the price had doubled. We asked to cancel two minutes later, but got a rude response with a terrible attitude. The message said: "No sorry! You are an adult person, you made a contract with booking.com for a non refundable booking. How we should this price for one night only? 🤷‍♂️ Maybe a hostel can do!" After that, they sent another message saying they were going to cancel the reservation, but they never did. We cancelled it ourselves instead of staying there and lost over 900 bhat as a result, see photo. Terrible customer service.

The nearby street is very busy, so the room can be noisy, but it's clean, in a good location, and has an amazing bed. It's a bit expensive, though still well worth it if you're exploring the island and want a comfortable stay. Bring earplugs if you're a light sleeper.

The displayed price doesn't include cleaning and electricity fees, which makes the total double. I've never seen a hotel, hostel, or Airbnb advertise an attractive rate and leave those costs out like this. In my view, it's a scam technique to draw people in with a good price, then demand extortionate extra payments after they've paid. Nobody checks the Booking price breakdown for exclusions because, as far as I know, no one uses this scammy technique except the owner of these houses. I agree with the previous comments.

We'd definitely return to this quiet retreat in Bangrak. The rooms were comfortable and spotless, and we could hear the soothing sound of the ocean. It was affordable and felt like unbeatable value. The location also worked well for island hopping, with high-speed ferry and speedboat terminals to Koh Pha-ngan just steps away. Fisherman's Village and Big Buddha are both about a 5-minute drive, and the airport is only 2km away. There are trendy bars and restaurants nearby, along with cozy coffee shops and massage parlors. A tranquil spot with a great location, clean rooms, and an affordable price.
