Sk Hometel Samui Airport

This is a convenient, budget-friendly place for an overnight airport stop, especially if you have an early flight and mainly need somewhere to sleep. I arrived in Ko Samui in the evening before a morning departure, exhausted after diving and a long ferry ride back from Koh Tao. The room was quiet and clean, with AC, a fridge, and a kettle with coffee and tea. The shower drains a little slowly. There’s a free gym next door with weight machines, free weights, and cardio equipment, which I used early in the morning. A free airport transfer was waiting outside at 07:00 for my 08:50 flight. I could probably have left later, and walking was also an option, but the ride was handy. A big shout-out to Chysee, the “King of Noodle” guy with the cart out front. He may have served me the best dumplins (yes, I’m Southern) or wontons I’ve ever had. I bought some to take away for breakfast, and the soup was one of the better ones I’ve had too. I can’t figure out how to review him separately, so I’m mentioning him here. His cart saved me a taxi ride into town for food. I’ve stayed places that cost $10,000 a night and $30 a night, and this place deserves some kudos. The owner was very kind too. I’d stay here again for an easy airport stop. There are bars and restaurants within walking distance, otherwise you can take a taxi or Grab.
