Chaweng Apartment

The room products were excellent, and the room itself was clean. I stayed for about a month, and Johnny and the staff were courteous throughout my stay.

The local market is just 20 meters away, with seafood, meat, vegetables, and fruit. It’s a Thai market, not a tourist one, which matters. There’s a 7-11 40 meters away and a Tesco Lotus Express across the road. Inside, the balcony looks out toward the mountains, and the apartment has a fully equipped kitchen, from an induction stove and microwave to a blender, coffee maker, water cooler, and all the dishes and utensils. Coke, Fanta, Sprite, and Thai milk were already in the fridge. There’s also a washing machine, a bathroom with a shower and hairdryer, air conditioning, and two fans. One fan is so powerful it sounds like an airplane turbine. The living area has a sofa, large flat-screen TV, free Wi-Fi, two satellite channels, dining table, coffee table, and chairs. The bed is big and soft, with lots of fluffy pillows. The host is a welcoming, modern Thai who speaks excellent English and greeted us with a plate of fruit. This cozy little nest in lively, picturesque Chaweng has everything you’d expect from home, and then some. I’m delighted 🤩.

We first ended up here by chance while looking for somewhere on Koh Samui that would take our dog, and since then we’ve returned several times on business. Now we’re sad when it’s fully booked 🥲. There’s somehow room for everything you could need. Get hurt? There’s a first aid kit. Want a smoothie, coffee, or meat? You’ll find a blender, spices, and coffee maker. You might as well check in at 7/11, because everything’s already prepared here. The appliances are the best I’ve ever seen. I don’t know how you fit it all in, but the place still feels cozy and warm 🥰🥰🥰. In the photo we moved the carpet because our golden bunny might pee on it 😁🫣🫣. We always move carpets in hotels 🫠🫠🫠.

This is our second time staying in the apartment. It’s comfortable, with a good bed, kitchen, and washing machine, and there are lots of inexpensive cafes close by. A small market and a great fruit stall are nearby too. It’s excellent value for money.
