The beach was lovely and peaceful in the evening, though during our visit in the second half of January, high tide covered it until late afternoon. We also enjoyed the two pools, one by the beach and one in the courtyard, especially the courtyard pool bar and its very polite staff. One annoyance was guests saving loungers with towels very early in the morning. Management should be stricter about that. My wife, son and I had a comfortable 10-day holiday. The hotel sits at the start of the main street in Chaweng Beach, a famous part of Koh Samui. There’s plenty of lively activity outside, while the room and hotel feel peaceful. Staff were generally kind. I can’t speak for every room, but the suites are spacious and comfortable, the minibar is restocked daily, breakfast has lots of choices, and the internet speed is acceptable. The deposit at arrival felt a bit high. The gym is very clean, with limited equipment, but enough to keep up with a workout on holiday. I’d read complaints online about neglect. Some of that is fair, and there are small signs of wear, but I didn’t see a lot of neglect. Since the resort is practically in the sea, some wear is normal. Still, I wouldn’t call it a five-star hotel. I was quite satisfied, though, and having seen other parts of Koh Samui, I’d recommend it to anyone visiting.

The garden and all the nature around it made the resort a lovely place to spend time. The staff were exceptionally warm, kind and helpful, which was the highlight for us. Breakfast was delicious with a good range of choices, and the location was amazing. The rooms look dated, with visible wear and tear, and need maintenance and renovation. I think the stay would be much more pleasant once that’s taken care of.

We had a wonderful 14-night stay. The facilities were clean and well maintained, the location was ideal, and the staff were fantastic. We met Joakim ( Hotel Manager) at one of the evening events, and he was a delight to talk to, very engaging. We’ll book again in the future.

We enjoyed our three nights at Chaweng Beach Resort. The staff were welcoming from the start, and our pool-view Premier Room was spacious and comfortable. Both pools were beautiful and great for relaxing, and breakfast had plenty of choices each morning. The tide was high most of the time, so we couldn’t really enjoy the beach. Luckily, the nearby street has lots of restaurants, pubs and places to hang out. We’d definitely recommend the resort for a relaxing, convenient getaway.

We really liked the quiet resort, the room and the location. We’d booked a grand premiere double room and were given 602 at check-in. I’m not sure if that was an upgrade or what, but we liked it. The room was clean, spacious and quiet. Breakfast offered lots of options, and the people were nice with good service. Overall, we loved the stay and found it well positioned.
