The night reception staff were hostile and threatening, and made me really uncomfortable. They were very rude, spoke as if they hadn't been trained to talk to people, and had a very bad tone of voice and facial expressions.

I spent my first two months on Samui at Chaweng Tara Hotel. The beach nearby is beautiful, and the whole center of Samui is within walking distance. Head the other way and there are some stunning views and winding roads. I needed to change rooms, and the hotel sorted that out quickly and simply. The owners are lovely, always greeting me and politely asking how I was doing. Drinking water was provided and everything was in order. The administrator deserves a special mention: every request was handled with kindness, at any time of day, even simple things I could have done online myself or asking a taxi driver to bargain. Thanks for the hospitality, and best wishes ❤️

The people here are really nice and the service was very good. Rooms were cleaned every day, and the location is good too. The building and furniture are a little old, and the staircase and edges of the room could use a more thorough clean.

A really nice brunch spot is right below the hotel, and the beach is just two minutes away. The staff were all so helpful. Great choice for a budget hotel.

We stayed for two months and had an amazing time. The room was huge, with a jungle view 💙 and a really big, comfy bed. The host family were friendly and caring every time, and we felt very comfortable. The nearby beach is amazing, and the biggest party is just across the road 💛💛💛. The coffee shop next door had the best breakfast I've had :) Thank you, Chaweng Tara Hotel, for your hospitality ❤❤❤
