The staff were pleasantly nice and easy to approach if you needed anything. We paid the 500 THB deposit on arrival and got it back at checkout. The rooms were nice, and they put water in the room every day. The bed was a little hard for me, but I was only there three nights. When the bathroom light stopped working, maintenance fixed it in 30-45 minutes. It's a cheap and cheerful hotel, and you get what you pay for. I can't complain otherwise. Bars and restaurants are a five-minute walk away, but you can't hear them at night. The beach takes 10-15 minutes on foot. There are two 7 Elevan shops on the main road: one is three minutes away, and the other, seven minutes away, is bigger and newer. Check out the Fishermans night market for its good atmosphere and lovely beachside restaurants in a nice setting for dinner. It's 15-20 minutes away by Bolt or Grab.

This is my second long-term stay, and I'm back for a reason. The rooms are spacious and full of natural light, which makes a real difference when you're here for a while. The building has two sides: one looking out at peaceful greenery, the other onto the street. I was on the street side and loved sitting on the balcony, watching everything go by. It's a lively urban feel. The location's hard to beat, just a few minutes on foot from the best shopping and nightlife, but it still feels like a comfortable base. All the staff are wonderful. Special thanks to Plern for the kind, polite daily chats that made me feel so welcome. I have nothing to complain about and will definitely be back, whether for a short trip or another long stay.

I booked Chaweng Terrace for eight days, and I strongly suggest staying somewhere else. The service made the stay difficult and unwelcoming, apart from Dee Dee, who was helpful, and the nice woman from Myanmar. Plein, a tall, slender woman in her mid-thirties with black hair who is the manager, argued with me, resisted reasonable requests, and even covered her name badge with her hand while giving me my key, apparently thinking I wouldn't see it. My first room was on the third floor and had a broken, very uncomfortable mattress. I told Dee Dee, who kindly offered to move me in the morning. When I was ready to switch, Plein challenged both of us about why I wanted to move and why I hadn't spoken up earlier, though I'd told Dee Dee the night before. She was very reluctant, but the staff eventually moved me anyway, and she clearly wasn't happy about it. Getting the room cleaned was another struggle. A night-shift worker said they'd clean it the next day and had reported it, but the next day staff said there was no report. I let it go once. When the same thing happened again, with another promise of "tomorrow," I followed up several times the next day. They said they were busy with checkouts. I even put the "please clean room" sign on the door, which housekeeping may ignore. There was a real reluctance to clean. I'd seen other reviews mention dirty bathrooms and showers, but hadn't checked them before booking. There was no hairdryer in the room either. You have to rent one downstairs for 200 baht. I've never had to chase housekeeping like this before. Most places I've stayed clean daily, or offer a lower rate if you opt out. I don't agree with paying for cleaning and then having it not done. Dee Dee was great, but Plein's behavior over the room change and cleaning made everything worse. Do yourself a favor and don't stay here.

We paid 2,500 THB for a filthy, moldy room that felt like a health hazard. There was an overwhelming mold smell, limescale everywhere, and the faucet barely trickled. At check-in, staff offered a refund when we complained about the faucet, but it was already late, we had heavy luggage, and nowhere nearby seemed available. We felt stuck. When we came back that night, there was no hot water, and staff brushed us off, saying it "isn't too cold." In fact, a staff member had to open another room so we could shower there. The hotel's claim that the water system was working doesn't fit with what happened. In the morning we calmly asked about a partial refund for the missing basics, hot water and a working faucet. The manager screamed and called the police to intimidate us into leaving. We stayed polite and didn't raise our voices, but were treated like criminals. Offering a refund at check-in during peak season in Koh Samui, when the hotel knew everywhere else was booked, wasn't a real solution. A decent hotel wouldn't rent out a moldy room with a broken faucet in the first place. Calling the police and yelling at guests asking for compensation over broken facilities isn't standard procedure, it's bullying. The hotel's weekly-cleaning excuse also doesn't apply to our one-night stay. The room was filthy and covered in limescale when we arrived, and smelled moldy from the start. The hotel's response just makes me think that if anything goes wrong, management will lie, scream, and call the police instead of taking responsibility. Save your money and sanity, go somewhere else.

The room was simple but spacious and well kept, and the reception and housekeeping staff were very welcoming. For the location and amenities, I think it's very good value. The hotel is right in central Chaweng, with the Central Festival shopping center and nightlife only a minute away. It's not noisy despite being so close. Prices are very reasonable, and I'd highly recommend it.
