Fanta Hostel Chaweng

A complete waste of money. The place was noisy, with bikes underneath the rooms, no view, and rooms that were terrible and far too expensive. I paid 7000baht for a month, and have slept on softer camp beds. There are cheaper places with fully furnished rooms that feel like luxury compared with fanta. Until they move the bikes, it's going to stay noisy. I found the people dishonest. Please don't leave your passport with them. My bike went missing, and they claimed the police had taken it, then held my passport until I paid 10'000baht to get it back. They said I'd taken cocaine and gave me an opioid test that was negative and said morphine on it. They have police in the family, and tried to arrest me using fake drug test equipment. I had to run away. I paid 7000baht for the rental, and they still owe me 9000baht to this day. Don't stay there or rent bikes or cars from fanta. The bike shop is run by Burmese and Thai people who, given the chance, will take your money. Check the bike carefully because they'll make you pay for any damage. The boss and his sister were nice, though, especially the sister, who is a very nice lady. Rant done!
