Grand Thai House Resort

The location was excellent for shops and restaurants, and the cleaners did a fantastic job. All the staff were very polite. I only booked three nights at first, but wound up staying nine, and would most definitely come back to this Hotel.

There are no drinks or food for sale at the hotel, but that's fine since there are so many options less than a minute's walk away, plus a mini Big C about 3-4 minutes away. The hotel pool is nice, the rooms are very clean, and there's beach access right across the road. The property isn't very big, but the foliage, flowers, and trees make it feel calm and tucked away. Outside noise was almost never a problem. The staff were super nice. I got to know some of the cleaning and maintenance staff, and we all said goodbye when I left. I enjoyed it here, and it was a great deal overall.

There are plenty of nearby conveniences, including restaurants, the beach, self-service laundry, a convenience store, a massage shop, and a pharmacy. At check-in, the staff were very nice, polite, and respectful. The furniture was old but acceptable, though I couldn't use the TV. The pillows were small and flat, and the blanket was small and old, so I didn't sleep very well. I checked out at noon. An Indian friend came to meet me at the front, but the staff treated them negatively and gave poor service.

The place is tucked away down a path, but once you find it, it's easy to spot. The beach is just a two-minute walk, literally across the street, and there's a really clean pool. My room had working AC, a spacious bathroom, a fridge, and a TV, and it was cleaned every day. For the price, it's definitely worth it. I did miss having breakfast, though it meant I could try other restaurants nearby.
